So with the imminently close due date for our new book is anyone working on a new paint scheme for their tinboys??
I have just ordered a can of vermin skin brown spray and am planning on painting up some of my 7k worth of stuff using the rust that GW describes on the Ogre pages, I think that after being buried in a tomb for millenia their bodies will be a little worse for ware and wont look immaculate. So I am planning on a rusted metal look to my stuff.
Anyone else planning on a new paint scheme please either show it or describe it.

I am a fan of the basic silver Necrons. Simple and easy to paint but when people see them they go, "yep, Necrons" which is exactly what they should do. I have experimented with other colored armour but silver is by far my preferred choice.

Well I have started, so far I have done and finished a Lord with magnetised scarabs on its base as wound markers, I have also got the bodies done on 10 warriors, just need to do the guns and finish the bases and then I got to start on another 10 warriors and 5 destroyers for the start of my LGC build up campaign.

Ah yes, kids are the bane of Warhammer models. I had some cousins over 2 weeks back (all 7 of them -_-') and they scratched up my favourite model and messed with some other stuff.

Yeah rusty cos I reckon that there is going to be some build up of crap on their shiny metal butts after snoozing for 65 million years and it would take a little while for it to ware off. I didnt really know what to do with the scythe so gave it a rubbish highlight with skull white and then gave it 2 washes of thrakka green. Need to do the warriors weapons yet and then add the rods.

Well I have now completed a Destroyer Lord and have another 10 warriors done apart from bases and weapons.
That totals up to about 1000 points so far and is a legit army pretty much.
Only another 6000 points worth of crons to go!!

I like them , but then I suppose I would as my army is painted in a very similar way. I started my Necron army back in 2009 and it's also painted in the "ogre kingdoms rusted weapon) way. However my lords and pariahs were painted in an aged gold to make them look a little different from the rest of the army. I have also used weathering powders which work well and I recommend them. The problem soon will be do I continue with this simple paint scheme when our new gear arrives or now my painting has improved do I try something new. Anyway back to your modes. Of course I like them very much.
