Now then, I went with a bit different look for these Necrons since I didn't like the plain old rusty-silver. Now he isn't done yet but tell me what you think. He is done by painting one coat of Scab Red and three coats of Red Gore, the metal bitz are Chainmail, and his gun tubes/eyes are painted Snot Green.

I wasn't sure about washing it though. I thought about it at one point but I think the colours go well together with the bright silver 'popping' up while the red looks like a cherry red, which is also rather bright. I wanted a paint scheme that would catch the eye, and I think with an army on the table painted like this it would draw the eye rather well. But the scheme wasn't my idea, I used the one on page 43 of ther codex (bottom right corner) but he is a little bit different than the one in the codex.

Ok, so I finished my Warrior but since it was so close to being done in the first place I'm not sure if you will notice the difference. What do you all think? I am still not sure if I will go with this as my scheme still, but it was fun to paint.

Looks great to me killercroc, but on personal preference i would try wash over it to bring out some details and fade the colors into the recessed areas. Over all still great paint job.

I would look at Ironman pictures and try to recreate a similar style and color for the model. Otherwise, a wash on the metal parts to bring down the brightness and to bring out details.
On a sidenote: If you take the Ironman advice, I want you to notice how the gold in his armor makes a pentagon on his body through his shoulders, thighs, and head. I think that applying a pentagon type of thing to your necrons could make them look better.

Highlight the gun with codex grey, just a wee bit. =) It'll really bring out the edges of it.
