So I finally have built and painted my necrons to a point that they are field-able Just a few more things to build and they are pretty much ready for war! So I just wanted to post in here and hear what kind of advice you guys have against chaos space marines since that's what a friend of mine plays (chaos nurgle marines that is) So I already know they are much like our necrons tough as nails thanks to t5 troops and feel no pain plaugue marines, however unlike our necron friends most of chaos are pretty kick ass in assault What are handy tips you guys have against them using necrons?

Yeah... T5 and kick-ass close combat prowess... BUT all this comes at a price! POINTS!!!
He will likely have no more than 30 Marines on the field... and that T5 and Sv3+ are breakfast for a Monolith Phalanx (2 of 'em XD)
Also a Doom Scythe will cut through his Rhino train he soooo much needs to cover his precious troops!
Use massed Immortal fire! T5 is not that much a challenge at S5!
Overlord has S7 Monolith has 4 S5 arcs to hit multiple squads Immortals have S5 Death Ray is S10 ordnance Need I say more? Stick to those units! you will both have few numbers, but you can bring something scarier than a Meltagun!!!
He will likely have a Black Mace or Axe of Blind fury Lord so I'd use a 225+ points Overlord with Warscythe to handle that (Mine currently has 7 Chaos Lords in his Tesseract Labyrinth and another 5s' skulls he fed to the Flayed Ones!)
2 Harbingers of the storm, each with 5 Warriors, all in a Night Scythe is more than enough to handle vehicles!
5 Deathmarks with a Harbinger of despair all in a Night Scythe is Overkill against infantry. Simply put: You disembark from the Scythe, mark a unit, shoot at it and kill it with a S8 AP1 flamer thatwounds on 2+! Then use Nightmare shroud on those camping Havocs... have kicked a squad out of the game with just an unlucky fall back move!!

Good question, Moss!
Nightmare Shroud is NOT a shooting attack... look closely: You just pick a unit, and it takes a morale check, it doesn't say you SHOOT at said unit, so if you land away and cannot reach a target with the Staff, have the Deathmarks shoot at the marked unit and then order some other units to fire too. If at the end of your shooting phase the unit is still a threat, target it with the Shroud. Or you can use it first after the Deathmarks shoot so you have just gotten rid of one more enemy blocking your intended target...
"...instead of firing a weapon..."
So you cannot fire both the Staff AND the Shroud (Correction, you don't actually FIRE the shroud, only activate!)
