This rumour is kindly supplied by my local GW store staff!

Glad I am going then , I will take my camera and post some pics on the forums If like in 2008 with the last SM codex release the models and codex were available before the release in October. If I manage to get my hands on some of the new stuff I will be posting pics of the sprues too. Hopefully this bit of info is on the button or I am going to be quite disappointed at gamesday lol

Yeah I saw these "codex entries" a few months ago and to be honest I'm not convinced. If this is a leak of a troop choice page why are immortals included. I know we have heard that they may be taken as troop choices but possibly only if taken with a certain lord, Immortal wing etc . This would be in keeping that the immortal sculpt is going to much bigger and more dynamic than the standard warrior. Unless this isn't a snippet from just one page . But until we know what those new war gear options actually do, who knows )

I have always hoped that immortals and flayed ones got made into troop choices!! add to that scarabs and we have 4 troop choices and 3 of them can claim objectives.
Like you said though! Until we are holding the codex in hand all of this is purely speculation and could have been made up!!

If you think about it Immortals are hardly Troop worthy. Both fluff and stat. wise they belong in the Elite choice, through Flayed Ones I can totally dig as a Troop choice, I would field nothing but Flayed Ones.

What I am seeing at the moment is that gamesday is most likely going to be used to showcase "seahammer" the new stand alone WFB navel based game. An announcement will be made on the 17th of September with preorders on the same day. I think Necrons may have to wait a bit longer than gamesday . The seahammer game will feature Empire, high elves, orcs and vampire counts which would explain the vampire count covered in seaweed in this months back page of WD.

Its a redux of Man'o'War. If your an old sweat then you may remember that game. Its due before GamesDay and at Games Day they always do a huge preview and its something that will not be out til November as a rule. They showcase the miniatures that will have been used in the codex and the new book and they announce that it will be available for advanced order mid October for a full release in November. Now Crons are speculated to be the November release so it stands to reason that the big announcement this year will be them. Also if the main table is Cron based and there is a new book coming about sisters vs crons and all the info from GW store that I have been told several times about GD2011 being good for cron players then I am going with the probability that we are going to see our new stuff there!
I am also looking forward to some nautical action in WFB like in the old days!!

Here's the contents - @7 named HQ models with 2-3 basic HQ choices. TROOPS-Immortals: 5 models for @90 pts, up to 5 more may be added. -Warriors: 5 models for @60 pts, up to 15 more may be added. 4+ save. FAST ATTACK -Wraiths: @40 pts apiece, Rending. -Destroyers: @40 pts apiece. Preferred Enemy (all), Jump Infantry. Gauss Cannons can upgrade to Heavy Gauss Cannon now. ELITES -Death ?: A sniper unit that can cause non-traditional effects on target units. -Tomb Spyders: Roughly the same as now, with increased regeneration effects on nearby Necrons.

That has been posted on nerontyr online as well. If this is true then it will be nice. Curious about the sniper unit!

Destroyers are getting preferred enemy? That can only mean 1 of 3 things:
1) Destroyers are getting a close combat oriented unit, perhaps being able to replace their gauss weapons with two CC weapons.
2) Destroyers are getting more attacks.
3) Robin Crudace is the writer of the Necron Codex. (Toxin sacs on MCs anyone?)
Place your bets now!
Also... 7 named HQ units!?! Something tells me we will be able to change out our FOC based on what HQ we bring. You know, like with Space Marines and GKs or any of the other codexes Matt Ward wrote.

The rumour from ages ago was that because the cron book needed such a massive uplift that they were basiclly starting them all over again there would be a team of writers involved and not just Matt Ward though he is involved. Having 7 named HQs would suggest that they are going to have a couple of guys that just have a name and maybe some upped stats while others will change the status of units like a marine bike captain making bikes troops, or a master of the forge allows you to take dreadnaughts as elites and heavy choices!
