Good Evening Fellow Necron Players, Recently I traded away my 1750 point painted and completed Grey Knight army for what was effectively a bag full of wrecked and broken Necrons. I spent a good solid day assembling what I could and creating what I think will be a decent starter force. I spent last night painting the first of the necrons that I have. So, here's the official first in-progress picture. fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1005873_10151527160220003_1037608872_n.jpgI'm not sure why the image tool won't let me post the image to display in page, but at least you can link to it.

Thanks for the welcome! I wanted to get these done as quickly as possible. Last night I got another 30 on their way. Tonight I'll be oil washing the 50 of them. Maybe I'll start on the OSL. Depends on if I can settle on colours I like. Going to try and attach an attachment.. see if this works. Also, the paint scheme isn't complete, of course. This is just the beginning. A good portion of the work yes. I've decided that I won't be weathering them. To me, it seems silly that Necrons would be rusted, or tarnished in any way. If you think about it, there's supposed to be machines that maintain the stasis for the greater Necron forces. What kind of advanced alien race would let themselves succumb to rust? Attachments:

Of course, it is not technically rust, unless the metal is an alloy including iron.
But it is looking good so far!

Yeah, but the point is the same. I imagine they had enough foresight that wear and tear would be a non-issue. Anyway, here's the progress from last night! Attachments:

Close up of one of the Immortals. Last night I watched some movies so I just glued in the green rods, and finished building some of the finecast models. Nothing too exciting. Attachments:

Thanks! I haven't got much more work done on the painting side of them. I've just been working on modding up and fixing some of the busted Destroyers I have. I don't know that running two units of 5 in a 2000 point army is a good idea, but I have the option.
I also was thinking I'd get another 10 immortals because they look awesome and having the option to run a full 6 troop choices is appealing (I have about 100 warriors, though they're not all painted).
I've glued in the rods for everyone with the intent to paint them in the same way I painted that immortal's weapon. Aside from that I think I just need to do the oil wash and the basing before these guys are done.
More C&C appreciated!

I definitely make liberal use of the airbrush when I get the chance. So, here's the current status. I worked last night to get basing underway. They're not actually finished yet but should be tonight. As always, here's another WIP pic. Attachments:
