So i am buildin up my battleforce if it matters i went deathmarks or immortals. Come to the arks and wondering which to build doomsday or ghost i like the idea of transport but its main advantage works only for warriors and if i decide to go immortals is lost on me but the doomsday is primarily shooty tho to be fully functional has to be stationary and no transport capibility. My queation is which do u use and why or whixh would u prefer to use Thanx in advance

doomsday yza byg azz cannon ment to shred bad arses-remember pivoting on the spot does not count as moving! but you need to position it wisely
ghost ark is both a resilient transport and supporting vehicle - warriors replenishing. army expanding wise id build the ghost as youll definatley use it more often as doom has a place in certain builds - it aint an all rounder

I usualy run 3 ghostarcs. I chose to favor warriors above immortals. If I went for Immortals I would have focused on flyers. And at this point I do not have a place for them in my tactics.
I do own a doomsday arc. I use it rarely. But it is good. Hard part is use it well. Reason it stays at home is that for those pts I have 2 annihilation barges. Presenting 2 targets and more survival. And the tesla fills a niche in my list.
So think well on where you want your army to go. And what future heavy options you want.
In general. A ghostarc is a good transport and can always find a spot in any list....

Doomsday is great for defensive armies, those who control the most objectives at the beginning of turn 1 and have Defence lines with Quad gun, along with another 2 Arks and lines of Warriors and Immortals for some offensive distraction. Get 2 Solar pulses and watch your Arks giving you First Blood on an enemy transport then the enemy not been able to see them! Camp the Arks in front of the Quad-gun to conseal it while it can still see an incomming flyer and Get Imotekh and Zahndrekh and Obyron... LOTS of points there BUT Imotekh seizes the first turn on a 4+ and lets you get first blood, plus you auto-nightfight for some turns and Zahndrekh can give an Ark Stealth and hold the line along with Obyron to protect the lines, while the Solarteks also have Gazes of Flame!! Another 8 Crypteks with Lances (just that) and now you have Imotekh's Lightning, 10 lascannon-like shots and 3 Doomsday blasts while the enemy MUST close in to see you... and get shot by all those Gauss Necrons!!
Other than that, you cannot really rely on the Ark... it's good yes, but its points will better be spent on something else like... 10 Immortals or 2 Flyers in an offensive list!!

The Scythes can move up to 36" and fire all their weapons (yes, AND the Death Ray!!) BUT if a Night Scythe moves more than 24", the disembarking unit will only fire snap shots this turn!

I have used a Doomsday Ark in conjunction with Zahndrekh and Imotekh to great effect against Tau: I was protected from most shooting because of Night Fighting, and Zahndrekh was able to give the Ark Night Vision allowing it to vaporize most of the Tau army.
