Hello All! I just got the battle box and a CCB and have been building it up over the week end =) so far I made some adjustments to building the units to try and get more out of the box as it stands right now I have 14 Warriors 5 Gauss immortals 5 death marks 1 tech 1 orb lord 1 ghost arc w/ magnets so i can swap it out 1 CCB w/ magnets so I can swap it out not bad for a battle box and a CCB kit now that's what I have. what I want to do with it is buy some more Immortals and Tomb Blades maybe add in some wraiths at some point I would like to add in some Destroyer's to hand off Preferred enemy to said wraiths and/or Tomb blades. now with that being said I would like to hear some Pro/cons to my plan from people with experience. thanks everyone for reading and super-duper thanks to those whom comment!!!

Welcome to the Tomb World fellow Overlord! Immortals are awesome front liners, i suggest 20-30 with Gauss. Also get the codex if you dont have it yet! As Moss said, 6 Wraiths with Destroyer Lord are a nice CC (close combat) unit! Also Crypteks are our best support characters around! I suggest at least 3! Tomb blades are awesome when you give them all the upgrades and Particle beamers, read codex and rules to understand what i mean... And Deathmarks are about the best infantry in the game if combined rightly. If you search the tactica board, you will find tons of tips to help you up (So many i cant have them all in a post!!!) In simple words couple 5 of them with a Harbinger of Despair with veil of darkness. His weapon will wound the enemy on 2+, making him feared by every single infantry unit in the game, no matter said unit's powers!! Also Night Scythes are great! I'd say get 2-3, they dont need magnets as the gun marking the Doom Scythe can be removed to make it look like a Night Scythe! If you dont have the codex, get it. Then all those chinese stuff i say will come together And read the rules, most important thing! And get playing small battles, best way to learn the rules (I did so in a week!!)

...until you run out of Wraiths...
A model with a Phase shifter can be the turning point of the game, remember the last BatRep of 1750p. against the Tyranids? That Immortal unit was about to get charged by 6 swordwhip Warriors, but the Overlord charged them instead and survived with one wound to chop them down because of his Phase Shifter!!!

yes and mss is champ,i always give overlord mss, warscythe and it has armorbane, weave, orb and when i can phase shifter, overlord is better than any main dude the necrons have,i have killed many a warbooss,a draco from grey knights,a wraithlord with mind shakle scarabs is awesome and if they live through that the warscythe leaves no armour saves so they just die lol the best ever

remember that you chose tha target randomly for MSS from amongst the models in base to base b2b so as per challenges it aint an issue for small bases limited about one third to 50% chance that youll infest the right target but destroyer lord comes withbig base...

Tesseract can also be champ! Shifter saved the Overlord with one wound against Abaddon himself, then he rolled that unlucky 6 and he was sucked into the cube lol!!!

ot even better they hurl themselves in challange most likely fail the 3d6 test and kill themleves being subsequently smashe by a war scythe or kill others
the labirynth is perfect for ordinary lords so that they can activate it on power fisted sergants and so on

Hey everyone! Thanks for the posts and the info! I do have the codex I have had it for a good 6 mo before I started the army. I mainly play nids (nom nom nom) and the way i figure it the nids and the crons have the least reason to fight seeing as how the crons have no bio matter and the play styles are completely different. As of now I'm scouring eBay and the normal suspects to try and find immortals on the cheap and destroyers also.

I suppose you look for the plastic ones right?!
So good luck on them! Remember 20 Imms will save your day often!

I played a game today! see 500 pt Battle report for info. I proxyed the army to see what people are talking about when it comes to immortals and omg it was good! I kicked some CSM right in the face. @ lazanakisk60 I like the metal ones they have some weight to them. but i don't really want to be picky at this phase in the game (just getting started with the crons)
