You know, there are many 40k tournaments, and many tend to attract all kinds of A++holes that nobody is having fun playing against, either because they have crazily broken armies or are just going to be over-strict about every single aspect of the game, they will tell you not to roll for 30 imms hitting a target at once in one go but instead unit-by-unit, for example, and thats OK but they dont have to behave like Vandals if you refuse and make you roll the way they want...
Just to let you guys know, i write this prologue to say that even if not all tourneys are bad, 80% are gross with all those power-players in and i HATE people that play this way!
And if you play in tourneys but are NOT that kind of player, then all this is not intended for you
But if you are that kind of player, go...(insults badly).
(Rises warscythe) So last friday i played against one of those orks in my flgs in which he invaded to ruin all fun, and i must say I LIKED BEATING HIM DOWN!!!
enough, proceeding to the fight!:
FORCES OF THE NECRONS:
-Overlord, everything but an Arrow, Philactery and Phaeron.
-30 Immortals
-Doom scythes
-Doomsday ark
FORCES OF THE G(R)AY KNIGHTS:
-Coteaz
-2 Storm ravens carriing coteaz and a Purgator squad.
-About 6 or 7 razorbacks, each with some acolytes inside.
-2 dreads with Autocannons
MISSION: KILL POINTS
TERRAIN is simple, with a gw forest on every corner and battle for macragge crushed fighter in the middle.
He deployes first, but i still steal the initiative (Coteaz makes you roll a 6 AFTER a 6 to go first, and i got it!!)!.
he deployes as a Phalanx of razorbacks, i deploy as a phalanx of immortals.
TURN 1: NECRONS
My Imms march and wreack a razorback from combined fire. Doomsday blows up the 2 Dreads!!!
TURN 1: GKs
He answers. He moves up and fires everything at a squad of immortals, killing 7!
TURN 2: NECRONS
Scythes both DONT arrive, curse 2 2s...
3 out of 7 dead imms stand back up. Everything moves and gets within rapid fire range, and the combined fire of my entire army topples 2 Razorbacks and killed all acolytes within them!
TURN 2: GKs
BOTH ravens arrive! the damaged Immortal squad is killed by overhelming force of arms ( about 4 razorbacks and all those raven weapons will kill anything...).
A raven kills the ark by using Power of the Machine spirit! Jerk.
TURN 3: NECRONS
Scythes arrive!!
That was a stupid decision: Everything fired at a stormraven, managing nothing as he evaded all 5 glances (lucky bastard)!
The 2 Doom Scythes destroy a raven. Waste of shots...
TURN 3: GKs:
Coteaz and purgators drop from the raven, which kills BOTH DOOMS FOR GOD'S SAKE SOOOO MUCH LUCK!!!!
However the Doom Scythes will not give in till the end! Both crash onto coteaz and the purgators, leaving only coteaz and 4 guys alive! How Heroic!! Coteaz falls back, now outside my Overlord's charge range. Damn...
TURN 4: NECRONS
...yet another stupid move that was made out of pure determination to take any risk to beat the guy...
Overlord leaves the Imms. Imms kill a razorback and overlord charges the occupants, killing them obviousely!
TURN 4: GKs
Coteaz runs home to moma and embarks on the raven.
Raven has its chance! killed a squad of immortals!
Rest shoots the overlord managing no wounds!!
TURN 5: NECRONS
Overlord is now very very angry! He charges the other razorback, imms kill the other and all occupants are pinned! Charged razorback is destroyed.
TURN 5: GKs
Raven finishes off my army, only the Overlord is left!!!!
TURN 6: OVERLORD
Charges the acolyte squad and kills them all!!
TURN 6: GKs
Ties to kill the Overlord, but no wounds pass!!!!!!
AND HERE THE GAME ENDED!!!
So my overlord saved the day! Even with more killpoints, if i would be left with no models on the board then thats an auto-loss, but the overlord COULD.NOT.BACK.DOWN.
Kicked this guy out of there! Hope he comes back to eat another defeat in the face!!
