I have a tournament in a month, and even though I just started them, I would like to take Necrons to it. I only have a few of the things I would need so I don't know if I can get it done in time. The list I am aiming for so far looks something like this:
HQ Overlord, Warscythe, MSS, CCB, phase shifter
Overlord, Warscythe, MSS, CCB, phase shifter
Elites Deathmarks x5, Veiltek, Despairtek
Deathmarks x5, Veiltek, Despairtek
Troops Warriors x20, Lord (weave, MSS, Warscythe, Resorb), Fieldtek
Warriors x8, Ghost Ark, 2 Destructeks (might make one a pulsetek and the other a gazetek)
Immortals x10, Night Scythe, Lord (weave, MSS, Warscythe, Resorb), Fieldtek
Immortals x10, Night Scythe, Lord (weave, MSS, Warscythe, Resorb), Gazetek
Heavy Support Either a Monolith or a Doomsday Ark
A-Barge
Doom Scythe
I have not yet done points totals on it and likely need to trim back some things. Do you think something along these lines would do well in a fairly competitive environment? I know there won't be Draigowing-type lists, but I do know a leafblower guard player is planning on coming at present.

Leafblower is a list that tries really hard to kill you turn 1 before you get a turn. It is loaded with lots of long range fire and mixes all kinds of AP and S values, plus blasts/large blasts. The point of the list is to wipe the opponent from the board, so they don't worry about things like scoring or even moving. Its a very dicky list and the only one who has any fun is the IG player. Its main weakness besides pod armies and other reserve lists, is that it has a ton of barrage weapons, so they are prone to scattering off. If you actually get to hit the IG player, they usually take crazy losses, since they are ignoring defensive measures.

id also go for the lith remember there's no multiple teleportatio denial right now just in cas they scatter other than that the list lokks pretty solid as per fieldtek there's enough gaussfire withib 10 RF morties to cripple any vehicle nuff daid he won do much more and if hes there forthe filed as SK wisely pointed out its a bit of a help only so maybe another lordie also two CCBs maybe try shieldguards in a night scythe the 20 warrior bulk has enough support and two S8 ap 2 shots in da ark give a buff

If you actually get to hit the IG player, they usually take crazy losses, since they are ignoring defensive measures. Sooo, everything in your list but the deathmarks is deployed right? Go for its weakness: Night Scythes!! I wont show pity on this list!! Aegis Deffence lines, comms relay (Scythes arrive on 2+): 70p. Overlord, MSS, Scythe, TL, Weave, Shifter, Orb, Arrow: 255p. Lord, Scythe, MSS, TL, Shifter, Weave: 140p. Stormtek: 25p. 10 Immortals: 170p. Night Scythe: 100p. Overlord, MSS, Scythe, TL, Weave, Shifter, Orb, Arrow: 255p. Lord, Scythe, MSS, TL, Shifter, Weave: 140p. Stormtek: 25p. 10 Immortals: 170p. Night Scythe: 100p. Lord, Scythe, MSS, TL, Shifter, Weave: 140p. Stormtek: 25p. 10 Immortals: 170p. Night Scythe: 100p. Doom Scythe: 175p. Doom Scythe: 175p. Doom Scythe: 175p. TOTAL: 2500p. Well completely differnt list but will do the trick, Every unit can shoot the hell out of tanks and infantry alike, and in CC every squad has at least one Character with MSS and TL so no IG character can stand a chance. Lots of barrages? So lots of vehicles. Short answer: Stormteks with Immortals. Infantry wont be a problem, just shoot a unit and show it the way back to thier army case! i mentioned in the list that scythes arrive on 2+, so its almost guaranteed that you get your full force to the field. The turn you arrive is the most important and the most dangerous one: You have all those Destructors and rays there, so use them wisely. With dooms, shoot the ray first so you grab both an infantry unit and a tank, then pop the tank and the nearby infantry unit can be shot with the tesla. With Nights, disembark so your Immortals are within 12" of a tank, now dont shoot with the destructors until all other anti vehicle weapons are fired, when thats done, flay the infantry alife!! Flyers? Tesla destructors everywhere on flyers - bye bye birds!! note: if you can, go second, so enemy flyers appear before yours so you can run in, disembark and kill everything. This isn't a war ordinary humans can win!!

Um.... Everything in that list must be reserved. If I do that, I auto-lose every game.....
Deathmarks will generally start the game in a corner far away from everything else, since they move via DS anyway. I can reserve them if I want, but I only would against leafblower.
2 surflords and 2 Deathmark units are about the only thing I'm 100% sure I will bring at this point.
Sounds like everyone thinks the monolith will be the better use of points so I guess I better assemble mine.
I own 5 Shieldgaurd, I could get 5 more but I don't think they will be that effective in this list.

Um.... Everything in that list must be reserved. If I do that, I auto-lose every game..... Actually i used to belive that same thing until it was brought up in a discussion here and the answer is that units with their dedicated transports dont count for the reserve limit, so the list is playable! pg124 rulebook. Now go kick that leafblower guard player! hate those power gamers... edit: Oh and dont forget that deathmarks mark a target when they deploy so if you go first and deploy first then the time they deploy there is no unit to mark. So they should DS always.

Um.... Everything in that list must be reserved. If I do that, I auto-lose every game..... Actually i used to belive that same thing until it was brought up in a discussion here and the answer is that units with their dedicated transports dont count for the reserve limit, so the list is playable! pg124 rulebook. Its not that transports don't count for the deployment restrictions, they still do. But if a unit (such as a flyer) is required to arrive from reserve, it does not count. It is a legal list, don't get me wrong. It is just that pg 122 under Victory Conditions states: "Likewise, if at the end of any game turn, one player has no models on the battlefield, his opponent automatically wins." That list is a legal build, and you would be forced to deploy in a way that causes you to auto-lose the game at the end of the first game turn. CCB lords fly around harassing targets of interest. Also, due to skimmers being able to move over any models, it allows you to sweep attack a flyer, and still hit on 3s/4s, as that is the rules for Sweep Attack. The natural 5+ or 4+ cover save also means that if I go first, I can just flat out to try to get behind LoS blocking terrain and still get my cover saves vs leaf blower, and really the unit feels like the best in the dex every time I play one. He is just so good vs all kinds of enemies. I want to keep deathmarks (with Despairteks) around to deal with durable units like deathstars and MCs. It makes Terminators a joke. The Fieldteks are there to save the unit when it gets assaulted. D6 S8 hits (even at AP5) will kill lots of things that charge me. The extra 4 over watch shots are nice too. I own 5 Shieldguard, but I think they are super expensive points-wise for what they do. If I had something I felt needed a safety button (like a Doomsday Ark so it doesn't have to move), I could justify it a little better. But as it stands, my list is dominated by shooting and it would just feel awkward IMO. I'll try to use them in more games but so far they have been underwhelming. EDIT: My original list is WAAY over budget on points. I'll have to trim back a few things.

Here is a fixed version of the list (and by that, I mean actually below 3k points.....):
HQ Overlord, Warscythe, MSS, CCB, phase shifter, resorb (Warlord)
Overlord, Warscythe, MSS, CCB, phase shifter
Elites Deathmarks x5, Veiltek, Despairtek
Deathmarks x5, Veiltek, Despairtek
Troops Warriors x15, Lord (weave, MSS, Warscythe, Resorb), Fieldtek
Warriors x5, Ghost Ark, 1 Gazetek, 1 Pulsetek
Immortals x9, Night Scythe, Lord (weave, MSS, Warscythe, Resorb), Fieldtek
Immortals x9, Night Scythe, Lord (weave, MSS, Warscythe, Resorb), Gazetek
Heavy Support Monolith
Comes to 2491.
Royal Court 1: 1 Lords (since all mine have the same kits) 1 Veiltek 1 Despairtek 1 Fieldtek 1 Pulsetek 1 Gazetek
Royal Court 2: 2 Lords 1 Gazetek 1 Veiltek 1 Despairtek 1 Fieldtek
Overlord with the Resorb is WYSIWYGed with that orb on.
While I feel that I am going a little heavy on HQs, I can't help but think that is fine since the court members are so powerful. (1220 points in my HQ section, counting the barges)

i think its quite solid Killem but i have one question why RO at the CCB overlord?

I glued the orb on, and its the overlord that comes with the CCB so his other hand option looks stupid IMO. I probably have a spare arm I could replace it with from the Guard kit, and it would let me increase my Immortal count.....
Cut the orb, increased the Immortal squads back up to 10 guys each.
New total: 2495.
