Expect this! So I was just about to celebrate my moms Birthday, when I remembered that today was the last day I could sign up for the Next Tournament. However, I enter the store and I see one of the Employees reading in a codex. I couldn't stop Myself in looking over his shoulder. AND GUESS WHAT!!! The Necron codex! (not Pre-edition) Okay, I had to be bag before the dinner, so I only had 20 minutes to look at it. Their Will be three times as many models as in the 3rd edition Necron Codex. There is more Vehicles in it than we have seen so far. See those Flying half moon shaped things in the Background? They will be available in 2 different variants. One of them is the Ghost something and will be a transporter Also, we will have something similar to the Tomb stalker/ Wraiths in a smaller version. About the rules, I didn't get much of it and half of it I have already Forgot. But a Necron Special rule will be. "Intropic strike" (I think that was its name. Everytime you make just 1 wound on a model(or unit... don't remember) They lose their Armour save for the rest of the game. It also did something to vehicles (Can't remember how) but it could in some way reduce its vehicle armour value with 1. But remember, it is only if the model have the Intropic strike special rule. The new scarabs (which btw have got 1 more in armour save and have become beasts) will have this special rule. A quick look at the monolith... I don't know. Looked a little weaker. It can now have Screw shaken, but it is harder to get those results. Tomb spyders will still be there. Just a little different. Also we I saw something named Doom blades. Can't remember their stats. But they look like Flying Necron tron bikers with With Gauss blasters beneath them. Shit... My family is calling for me now Sorry for spelling and all such. This was written in a haste

This stuff has already been broadcast apart from the flyers! Nothing has been discussed about flyers yet but it was going to come because its supposed to be something that is being introduced in 6th ed!

The jet bike looking units are "Tomb Blades" And the flyers in the background of that image are the new Necron flyers known as the "Night Scythe" and the "Doom Scythe" I posted detailed info about these units awhile ago... you guys aren't reading them!

Yes very good spy work. From what I understand there will be some sort of bomber like what the Dark Eldar hace. I have a... 'friend' who gets a lot of stuff beforehand and she already has the codex (though she has yet to tell me how...).
Anyways what I learned is this.
~Tesla weapons, for every to-hit roll of a six causes two hits instead of one
~Mindshackle Scarabs, can take control of enemy models
~Scarabs reduce armor of enemy ehicles, so they can turn a Landraider into a rhino
Now these are all 'more or less' rules as my friend is still reading the codex, so I wouldn't hold onto these with tooth and claw. Also not sure if these have been talked about before.

Learned something new...
C'tans got 11 powers
1st = Entropic Strike: removes armor and lowers AV of tanks ~ 10pts
2nd = place large blast over c'tan at end of assault, causes S3 hit with no armor save allowed to all models hit unsaved wounds restore a wound to the c'tan ~ 50pts
3rd = melta and flamer weapons used within 12" from the c'tan explodes on a 6, models are removed and tanks get weapon destroyed ~ 10pts
4th = redeploy d3 units after deployment ~ 40pts
5th= 24" S9 ap2, assault 1 ~ 45pts
6th= makes all difficult terrain dangerous terrain for opponent all terrain that was dangerous already wounds on a roll of 1-2 ~ 35pts
C'tan is 185pts with no upgrades
Don't know other powers yet...

Just a copy paste from my comment at TTH Today They exist but with a slight name change. Can't really remember the names though since I only saw it yesterday. Yeah no. Tomb spyders will be there with a slight name increase and different rules. (they can repair vehicles now to a degree while spawning a little extra Scarabs) The wraith is gone. I'm sorry to say... However they have got a new type of wraith. It looks a little like the Tomb stalker in a wraith tail version. It's Jump infantry and have pretty much the same stat line as a Necron with slight changes like 1 extra wound and 3 attacks... and S6. It has Rending attacks and "Lash whips" (Not the exact name, but you guys know what I mean ) On top of it has Phase shifter so it will have 3+ Inv. Jump infantry and can be fielded in units up to 5. So uhm... Yeah. The Wraith have been replaced with its much more Badass big brother. - [Edit] Oh... And it ignores Difficult and Dangerous Terrain - Every Vehicle but the monolith will be 11 all the way round The flying moon thingies are not Flyers. At least I couldn't see any rules Indicating that they were flyers. However I can't remember which one of them, but one of them could move at cruising speed and still fire all weapons and move 36" - The Destroyers are fast attack and Heavy Destroyers is an upgrade. (And they will have Preferred enemy. (I'm now 99% Sure that Preferred Enemy in 6th edition will let you re-roll to hit when shooting as well ) That's it for now.

"Canoptek Wraiths" On top of everything you mentioned, they are also initiative 2... which is a bit of a bummer (although the lash will help) As a matter of fact, nearly everything in the Necron army will be initiative 2 except for the C'tan shards. You can even check for your self on the GW site: www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/listProducts.jsp?catId=cat700019a

Just as durable as a Land Raider and can potentially ignore shaken and stun results. Plus, it's suppose to be much cheaper than before (200 points?) and to my understanding, it has no range restriction when teleporting units through its gate... but I will believe that when I see it.

well I reckon trayzan or whatever will be overpowered as crap and will sort of be a "troll" amongst warhammer as was the monolith.

My comment was in response to seeing bot say something about monolith being AV11 all around. EDIT: reread what he said.... I really shouldn't say things when I am tired... yea I though he was talking specifically about the monolith rather than excluding it.

And about that low AV of theirs... most of them will have Quantum shield. (I think that's what it's named.) Which means they'll be AV13 on the front and the on the sides until something makes a penetrating hit. So it's not going to be as awfully easy to take down their vehicles as I had first estimated.

the monolith gate is nasty as well transports enemy units into a dimension they can't get out of = a way to deal with MC's
