I just had to choose Flayed Ones, I think the model is really neat. Though all 3 of the Elite choices are I like Flayed Ones the most, Immortals 2nd, and Pariahs 3rd. Pariahs are a good idea, but at their current point cost they are hard to justify. And Immortals are great fire support, but I just like the model and fluff for the Flayed Ones the most.

i agree and having pariahs means you need less casualtys to not phase out. they also cant wbb so they die pretty quickly. but i do like immortals a fair bit

Pariahs are very good in combat but there is no easy way of getting them there, which is a bit of a problem. But they do act as good body guards for the Lord, and since they are all T5 the unit will not be wounded very easily. And while not having WBB sucks, not counting towards phasing out is a pretty nice thing. But with most games having outflankers is very nice. I know you can Deepstrike Flayed ones but that's a stupid idea since they cannot do anything afterwards and are just asking to be blasted. But if you infiltrate them they can pop up on the side and take care of any nasty shooty/artillary units to make the rest of your guys live longer.

Immortals- T5 s5 ap4 guns nuff said True, being T5 with S5 guns is very nice. They make excellent fire support and since their weapons are Assault 24" you can potentially hit you opponent from the beggining of the game. But the thing I do like is the price tag, they may seem a bit points heavy at first, but once you take a good look at their profile and weapon they are pretty worth it. Quite frankly I think all of the Elite choices for Necrons are great, now all we need to work on are our troops

a good way of running pariahs is to put them with a lord with veil of darkness wich allows you to deploy them in cover so they dont get pelted in turn 1 and then turn 2 zapp em over to the tanks to start killen'

I re-read the Veil of Darkness and it says one unit of 'Necrons' ie: Warriors, Immortals, Flayed ones, destroyers, Heavy destroyers, and Wraiths. So you can warp almost anything... but not Pariahs.

I voted for Immortals. I always bring a unit of 8-10 and they do fairly well.
I never have much luck with Pariahs. With only 1 attack their CC is a joke and as mentioned above, they don't have WBB and don't count as a "Necron". Their point cost is similar to that of a terminator but with out the defense OR offensive capabilities. If you want them for shooting then just go with the immortals.
I have had some fun using their special ability to make my opponent's LD 7. Combine that with the Deceiver's pin/moral test abilities and the Flayed Ones' terrifying visage special rule and you have your self a fun little gimmick.... even though most units these days are fearless or can automatically choose to pass such LD tests.

lol, not orks

Well, if the Orks had more than 10 guys in a Mob then they would be fearless so the pariah ability wouldn't affect them. And if less then 10 they are Ld7... so these guys wouldn't help you against Orks at all. But they would be very good against Marines. Shoot a unit up and have them take a Ld test, having a 7 they have a good chance to fail and then fall back.
Ohh, I thought of a good Idea. Have Pariah work with Flayed ones. Pariah makes a unit Ld7, have the pariah shoot the unit up. The unit has to take a Ld test, if pass good, if fail better. Why? If they pass the Ld test then the Flayed ones get to attack, another Ld test, if failed they hit on 6's. If they fail the first Ld test and fall back have the Flayed ones assault them, they take another Ld test and if they fail this one the Flayed ones run them down, if they pass it then they have to make another Ld test, if fail hit Flayed ones on 6's. Making an opponent take so many Ld tests increases the chances of them failing one.
^Evil Combo! Go synergy.

What's also silly is that Pariahs are 0-1 ... not that you would really consider taking more than 1 squad

my standard 1500 point list has 2 x 10 immortals in there cos they are amazing, i have 1 squad with a VoD lord to bounce around and really annoy and hurt then the other is the cross fire/ fire support with my 2 x 10 warriors. They work amazingly and people really dont like them cos they can do a hell of a lot of damage.
Pariahs are good but limited role and high points mean they are a bit of a sink
FO are great models with great fluff but should be troops and have some kind of close combat weapon special like rending then they would be great but they also would not count on this thread!!
I chose immortals!!

The Deceiver
Necron Warrior
People need to understand their own mortality sometimes.

flayed ones do it right, 30 attacks (usually with disruption fields for corner humping vehicles) i never go wrong with outflanking. to have an assault coming from a fresh new unmolested squad of flayed ones is great. the move through cover gets those pesky lootas and devastators. and then 30 attacks can't go wrong. i do love the surprise of when they get box cars when rolling for terrifying visage and hit on 6's. Them banshee's aint got nothing on that. making them hit on 6's is way better than making them ws 1. XD but then it would be immortals then pariahs.

For the record, as Eldar are my primary army- Banshees don't do anything to weapon skill, they put themselves to I10.
And even if they did auto put the enemies WS to 1, I would take that over the Visage that won't work most of the time. =/
