I'm going to a tournament in the new year which I'm building a Necron army for. I've based it on two battleforces but I have plenty of time to buy any other units I might need. All 3 games in the tournament are objective based but all also use kill points, therefore the less units I bring the less points I have to give away. The first of the games involves five objectives worth 3 points each, then three objectives worth 5 each, and finally two worth 5 and a relic worth 10. Here's what I've come up with so far,
Overlord on Catacomb Command Barge, Warscythe
10 Warriors with Ghost Ark
10 Warriors with Ghost Ark
20 Warriors
10 Immortals with Night Scythe
10 Scarabs
3 Wraiths, 1 whipcoil
3 Wraiths, 1 whipcoil
3x Annihilation Barge
1850
Some other units I'm considering but haven't bought or playtested yet are deathmarks (for warlord execution / objective clearing and seizing after deep strike), Lychguard in a Night Scythe for combat and AP2 (but they are a lot of points), and maybe a Royal Court to get Resurrection Orbs into the units, but again I am struggling to come up with the points. I'm not sure if I should run the walking Warriors in two units of ten also, hiding them behind the arks but it means putting another kill point into the army. Any ideas and opinions appreciated.

How's this alternative build? Overlord on Catacomb Command Barge, Warscythe, Phase Shifter, Mindshackles Royal Court: Despair Cryptek, Lord with Warscythe, Res Orb, Sepitermal Weave
10 Warriors with Ghost Ark
10 Warriors with Ghost Ark
10 Immortals with Night Scythe
5 Deathmarks with Night Scythe
10 Scarabs
3 Wraiths, 1 whipcoil
3x Annihilation Barge
1850
Overlord is a lot more tooled up, defensively and offensively, which I think is essential after reading up on the Command Barge and chariots in general a bit more. Royal Court is in, giving the deathmarks a despair Cryptek and the Immortals the Lord. It also allowed me to get a second Night Scythe into the list which the Deathmarks may or may not come out of. The only downside I can see is the reduction in number of warriors, giving the Ghost Arks nothing to repair until their own units get out and get shot. It's also increased the kill points I have to offer to my opponents.
