Told you about the units already Best tactic out there is to play games and find YOUR best tactic! I use at least 10 Warriors (5 and 5) in two night scythes, each unit with 2 Harbingers of the storm (the guys just kill any vehicle out there!!!). A-barges are great, sometimes. Wraiths and scarabs swarm the field and cause problems. 5 Deathmarks with a Harbinger of despair with Nightmare shroud in a Night Scythe is a great tool to actually hurt the enemy infantry lines BADLY!!! Two of those squads and turn 2 the enemy is in touble if not using mass veicles! Overlords with most upgrades at the forefront of 20-man Warrior Phalanxes absorb all the hits from Punishers, Devastators, Leman Russes, Land Raiders and even Baneblades (All tried and worked every time!). Destroyer Lord with Wraiths is a great combo! Same with Praetorians but they are too pricey for what they do and there are more units in the codex to replace them... Destroyers kill marines but are too fragile (No orb possible, only 5 models) Monolith Phalanxes with 3 Monoliths teleporting 3 x 20 Warriors a turn is sometimes unbeatable. Aegis defence lines are very helpful! Never leave home without a Royal Court! Every list should have a Solar Pulse to play with Day and Night (Enemy can have Night, you can have day!) March Divided And Fight Concentrated! Spread out the models of the units most of the time but keep the army close! Synergy is key here! No Necron unit can single-handedly take on an army (But 30 Lychguards dropping from Night Scythes 36" from your board, all having Warscythes and each unit with 2 Lords with MSS and scythes and orbs, all those with 2 Overlords with upgrades... just don't do that because the enemy will flip the table and ragequit from life on turn 3 (Have had a similar experience!).
