Hey, Sorry for the late reply, It's good, it's a really small community since it the hobby costs a lot here... Most of the players here go for MEQ's I myself started out w/ csm then bought 2nd hand daemons which I never got to play w/.... was suppose to go for Tau but thought it would be wiser to play necrons because the investment would be more long term compared to buying a new Tau army right now... My group plays Xenos or IG... By the way was able to test the salt dipping and it was good, but please be careful because it melts your toys still hahahaha... Was able to play my first 1500 game.. My list... X2 Overlord's, WS, MSS, Resu Orb, CCB x2 10 Immortals w/ night sycthe lightning field tek 20 man warriors veiltek and lor 2/ resu... 4 scarabs to fill in the last 60 pts.. It was good, the scythes are strong surprisingly, tesla's multiply to the point of killing a unit.. Really neat, fun army... Would you guys know how to paint the new necrons? The way their shoulder pads look like marble? any link would be appreciated, also weathering techniques would be much appreciated.. please fill me in... More power to necron armies..!

Well metal is really simple: Leadbelcher and Nulin Oil for standard, Agrax Earthshade for ancient.
I apply a coat of Mechanicus Standard Grey before leadbelcher, in my opinion it is helping the metal to look less new after the shading effect. This method also helped me build and paint those 5 Monoliths...
Shoulders are really in need for blending after blending for a lifetime to schieve codex model effects, so i'd give it a Turquise layer then a gold trimming around the edges like you do to vehicles.
