His gems are not red yet either. ;-)
The hardest part if the banner for me was actually the parchment colors. Bleached/Ushabti Bone are colors that just don't coat well.

It's a vicious cycle too, because it's easy to get impatient with colors like that. Thing is, I've tried every brand too. I just deal with it.

yup especially when the undercoat is black and youre painting with brigh/warm colours
remember waht you told me brass think hard really hard think bloodsport and that mini is dat hard!

Well, ladies and gents, here's the finished product (for now). I may go back and see things I want to touch up before shipping it out to the customer, but everything has technically been addressed here. The client asked for a simple, urban rubble feel, which was slightly difficult to achieve given how much space Mr. Sicarius eats up on the base. I think this works well here though. About the touchups, maybe you should paint the non-gold place of the sword red, but it is still great as black!

its mighty nice brass mighty NICE maybe a flossy glos varnih on the gems for a shin look and its not that intend to interfere
